PROJECT UPDATENew Professional Learning Course
finEDge teachers have had access to an online professional learning course (PLC) that focuses on improving financial content knowledge. The course has now been completely redesigned and rewritten to align with the new finEDge curriculum materials. Learners complete game-like activities and work through scenarios to learn and apply financial content in multiple domains.
TEACHER SPOTLIGHTA Jolt of Excitment
"Financial education classes are very much more 'real time - real life' for the students. The 'theory' can be put into practice immediately."

What We're ReadingDecoding the Cost of College
A recent study of financial aid award letters shows the lack of transparency within and across student financial aid award letters. For instance, the study found 136 unique terms for unsubsidized loans, out of 455 colleges offering this type of loan.
Yikes! If the names of loans aren’t the same, how will students compare? It’s time we find a way to make the system work for our students rather than the other way around.
FOR YOUR CONSIDERATIONOne Size Does Not Fit All
Many popular approaches to personal finance are built on a false assumption – that we all live in identical financial circumstances. Or, at least, similar enough financial circumstances to make financial “rules” of the broad brush variety relevant to us all.

"I had to develop a thorough understanding of investments and how to engage with individual clients. I was fortunate to have mentors who took the time to educate me about the capital markets and show me how to develop strong relationships with our clients."
